Bios:
Bruna Kury is an anarcho-transfeminist, performer, visual and sound artist, and contemporary thinker. Her work focuses on creations that are shaped by issues of gender, class, and race.
Matheus Mello is a filmmaker and producer who lives and works between Brazil and Spain. With over ten years of experience across the Americas, Europe, and Africa, Matheus explores identity, decolonization, and submersed narratives through cinema. They are an alumnus of the Sundance Institute, Creative Producer Indaba, and Ji.hlava Emerging Producers, focusing on fostering fairer co-productions and training new talents globally.
Nisha Platzer is a queer artist and filmmaker from Vancouver whose films meld sounds and imagery that you can dream and drown in. Her short film Vaivén (2020) won the best film award at aluCine Latin Film & Media Arts Festival and competed at festivals worldwide including Raindance, Festival Nouveau Cinéma, FIDBA, and Ji.hlava. She is a member of Vancouver’s Iris Film Collective, which promotes the creation and sharing of analog film. Nisha’s first feature documentary back home (2022) is supported by Telefilm Talent to Watch and was presented at the Docs-in-Progress Canadian Showcase at Cannes Film Festival 2022.
