Gopal Shrestha is a dedicated harm reduction activist and motivational speaker, tirelessly advocating for drug safety and awareness since 2005. Diagnosed with AIDS in 1994, he transformed his challenges into a powerful mission, focusing on empowering youth to understand safe drug use. In 2019, Gopal summited Everest as a bold statement against the stigma surrounding AIDS, showcasing resilience and determination. His journey inspires many, as he continues to educate and uplift communities in the fight for acceptance and understanding.

Saroj Sharma Sapkota is a filmmaker based in Kathmandu who teaches filmmaking at the Human Rights Film Center. He has written, directed, and produced films including the two feature documentaries Lives Around Annapurna and The Magical Singing Bowl. Saroj is the festival director of the Pokhara International Film Festival and the head of film selections for the Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival. He also serves on the film selection team for the Tribeca Film Festival and the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival.
